The top pane of Samsung Galaxy S11e houses a noise-cancelling mic above the punch-hole camera.
The Samsung Galazy S10e was a revelation in a market dominated by large-screen phones. With the launch of the S11 series merely three months away, it is rumoured that the latest iteration of Samsung’s flagship phone will also have a scaled-down version. As per a leak by the tipster Onleaks, the upcoming Galaxy S11e will take a leaf out of Apple’s book, with larger cutouts for the rear cameras.
Early renders posted by Onleaks show a centre-aligned punch-hole on the front, housing the selfie camera. Unlike its predecessor, the S10e, which had a flat display and no onscreen fingerprint scanner, the S10e will allegedly have a curved panel, restoring parity with its bigger and pricier siblings. The display almost does away with bezels, both on the sides and the top. The bottom of the phone has a small, but noticeable, chin.
The vertical camera module comprises of three sensors.
The early leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S11e will have a display that measures around 6.3 inches diagonally. However, one point of difference between the new S11e and the outgoing model is that older phone was marketed as a compact flagship, cut from the same cloth as the other models in the product lineup. The Galaxy S11e’s screen is expected to be roughly the same size as the S11, with the differences being less obvious.
The bottom panel houses a USB Type-C socket, the speaker grille, and a microphone. The volume rocker and power button are embedded onto the panel on the right-hand side of the phone. The left side is left untouched, and the top pane houses a noise-cancelling mic above the punch-hole camera. Samsung has done away with the 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.
The bottom panel houses a USB Type-C socket, the speaker grille, and a microphone. The horizontal camera module, which was one a Samsung hallmark, has also been abandoned. The vertical camera module protrudes from the back surface, and comprises of three sensors, an upgrade over the dual-camera setup on the previous model. As per the leak, the new S11e will be 7.9mm thick, rising up to 9.11 if the camera bump is considered.

A notable absentee on the back panel is the fingerprint sensor, and seeing that a fingerprint reader is absent on the side panes as well, speculation is rife that the S11e will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.
