According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, the romantic comedy movie Funky minted Rs 2.25 crore on day 1. Funky has been jointly produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.Moreover, the early reactions to Funky on X (formerly Twitter) have been mixed. One user felt the first half had its moments, especially when the comedy clicked, but pointed out that the screenplay and editing felt messy. According to them, the second half turned out average, with only a few scenes truly working. They also said Kayadu Lohar stood out on screen, while Vishwak Sen seemed slightly out of place. The songs the user added, were disappointing.
Another netizen rated the film 2.5 out of 5, calling it a passable watch with scattered laughs but several cringeworthy portions. While some jokes landed well, others felt forced. They compared Vishwak’s presence to using the wrong player in a cricket match, but praised Kayadu for her screen presence.
