Fun on the court: When VCs busted stress with a game of badminton
Taking a break from discussion on funding, proposals and endowments, German venture capitalist firm Bertlesmann India recently shuttled the investor community into a sporty day with a badminton championship. Nets were up and racquets drawn as VCs took on each other on the court at New Delhi's Siri Fort last week.

Last year saw 18 venture funds jump into the fray. This year it seems to have diversified, netting not just 25 investment firms but also some companies. While Nash Thadani of Pepperfry and Jatin Bery from Info Edge (India) rallied for their companies, playing from the VC pavilion were Preet Singh of Avendus Capital, Sequioa Capital India's GV Ravi Shankar and Dhruv Kapoor of Sistema Asia Fund, among others.
