In the world of the super rich, the dreamy landscapes of Europe have long held sway as a wedding destination. Billionaires Lakshmi Mittal and Sajjan Jindal have hosted opulent ceremonies to celebrate the weddings of their children (Mittal’s daugter Vanisha got married in France and Jindal’s son Parth tied the knot in Austria).
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding on the banks of Lake Como, six years after they started dating. The actors met, and fell in love, on the sets of 'Ram Leela', their first film together.
The wedding was an extremely private and intimate affair, with only close family and friends making it to the guest list.
The first of the two ceremonies planned, a Konkani wedding took place today at Villa del Balbianello - a lakeside mansion featured in 'Star Wars' and 'James Bond' films. A Sindhi wedding will take place on Thursday.
The 700-year-old venue was decked up with white roses for the ceremony.
