From questioning Bollywood's style fads to slamming BA, every time Rishi Kapoor went Twitter-happy

This Kapoor is not known to mince words, or tweets. And is known to have had an opinion on almost everything.

Rishi Kapoor, aka Chintu – a name he has never been too fond of (by his own admission) - is not one to shy away from speaking his mind. The actor has been a silver-screen heartthrob and impressed us with his wide range of performances over four decades.

And at 66, there's no stopping this Kapoor as he has kept us entertained on Twitter (sometimes in less than 140 characters as well!) - which often translates into him making headlines for his opinion.

Whether it is slamming the trend of ‘ripped’ clothes, asking fans to stop treating him as ‘Ranbir’s mailbox’, or even getting trolled for some inappropriate remarks, @chintskap – with 2.99mn followers and 3,413 tweets (and counting) - is Bollywood’s unofficial king of Twitter.

Here’s a look at all the times, he went Twitter-happy, and left a trail of virtual brickbats and bouquets:

A year ago in July, he posted the much-recirculated picture of an exuberant Sourav Ganguly taking off his T-shirt at The Lord's Ground after India beat England in the 2002 NatWest series final. But his timing was a bit off, as his tweet went out when the nation was cheering for the Indian women's cricket team who were taking on the English Eves at the World Cup finals at the same venue. Of course, it didn't leave his followers, and trolls, happy.

When he compared Kim Kardashian to a bag of onions

It’s not always bad though. He recently slammed British Airways after the news of an Indian family being made to deboard from a BA flight in London, over what they claimed to be racial discrimination, broke.

He has also questioned Bollywood's love for black glasses

When he tweeted against the Maharashtra beef ban, and ended up facing major backlash on social media. We wonder if he'd still say the same thing today.

He even questioned his own fashion choices, more than once

Good, bad, ugly - he's tweeted them all. On his 66th birthday, here's looking forward to more social media entertainment from the star.
