As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close, the beauties of the automotive world descend upon the boulevards of the French capitol for the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The auto show will run from October 2-19 at the Parc des Expositions de Versailles.

The biennial Paris Mondial de l'Automobile will showcase latest concepts and future production vehicles from the world’s leading automakers. Lamborghini is set to introduce a mysterious new four-passenger supercar, rumoured to be called the 'Asterion'.

The new Lambo is also said to feature a V10 hybrid powerplant. Although concept cars are traditionally the stars of the show, this year’s headliners are mostly hotly anticipated production models.

Here are a few you need to watch out for:

MX5 Miata

The doyenne of the modern roadster will be present in Paris. Mazda will give the world audience its first live view of the updated car.

Mercedes ​AMG GT



Mercedes will be out in full force with its new AMG GT.

Bentley Mulsanne Speed

There will also be special versions of existing cars, like the more powerful Bentley Mulsanne Speed.

Audi TT Roadster



Audi will be keen to show off its new TT Roadster — now with a revved up TTS version that delivers over 300 hp.

BMW 3-Series fighter



The Paris motor show will be the first opportunity to see upcoming models such as Jaguar's new BMW 3-Series fighter, the stylish XE sedan.

MINI Superleggera Vision




As far as concepts go, the Anglo-Teutonic-Italian MINI Superleggera Vision looks like a miniature Aston Martin.

Infiniti Q80



The Infiniti Q80 Inspiration concept takes aim squarely at Porsche's Panamera and Audi's A7.

Ferrari 458 Speciale A



The incredible Rs 1.84 crore — plus (approx) Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta.

Honda Civic Type R



Although it's not quite as stunning as a Ferrari, the Honda Civic Type R Concept is a videogame dream car come to life.
