From Katrina Kaif, Gauri Khan to Hrithik Roshan: Who's who of Bollywood attend Karan Johar's glittery birthday bash

Film-maker Karan Johar rang in his 50th birthday on Wednesday in a glamorous way at the Yash Raj Films studio in Andheri West, Mumbai.

The who's who of Bollywood arrived at the venue to celebrate Johar's birthday. For the special occasion, the red carpet was laid out and paparazzi witnessed A-listers put their best foot forward, quite literally. The theme of KJo's party was black and bling.

Johar, the man of the hour, was dressed to the nines in a green shimmery tuxedo, ensuring that all eyes were on him. The film-maker paired his statement jacket with a white shirt and black pants.


The glam-filled party set-up was put together by designer Amrita Mahal, who has created sets for films such as 'Kalank', 'Brahmastra', 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and more.

Celebrities such as Gauri Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif along with her actor-husband Vicky Kaushal, Johar's besties Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora and others were in attendance at the party.

Roshan arrived at the birthday bash holding hands with his girlfriend Saba Azad, making their relationship official. His ex-wife Sussanne Khan was also spotted arriving at the venue with her date -- boyfriend Arslan Goni.

Gauri Khan, designer, producer and wife of actor SRK, sizzled on the red carpet wearing a blingy peach coloured outfit.

Red was also the colour of choice for Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda arrived later, posing for shutterbugs with her friend Ananya Panday. Their other friend Shanaya Kapoor was there as well --

Whereas Bollywood's hot couple, Kaif and Kaushal arrived at the venue wearing contrasting colours of white and black.

The 50-year-old director's best friend, Kareena Kapoor Khan came to the birthday bash with her actor-husband Saif Ali Khan.

Apart from them, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Manushi Chillar and others also attended the bash, which was topped up by a lavish dinner spread crafted by celebrity chefs Marut Sikka and Harsha Kilachand, according to media reports.

Arriving Solo
While there were many couples at Johar's birthday party, there were also some who arrived at the party of the year solo including Vijay Deverakonda, Tiger Shroff, Sidharth Malhotra, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Rajkummar Rao.

While the party was a star-studded event with many well-known faces, there were also a few who gave it a miss. Celebrities such as Johar's mentee Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor were no show at the birthday bash. Just like her father, Suhana Khan, also gave the party a miss.
