From exosuit to smart weights, these new-age gadgets promise to change our lives for good.

Flying exosuit
You love Iron Man and want to be like him. Now, you can also turn into a flying superhero — almost. Jet-powered exosuit Daedalus, developed by Richard Browning, can make you fly off. It has two jet-powered engines on each arm and another strapped to the back for balance. Built-in augmented reality equipment will display the suit’s data, just like Iron Man’s heads up display.

Bullet-proof goo
Science has given us killing machines and bombs. Now, it has given us goo to stop us from killing ourselves. It combines anti-ballistic fabric with a thickening fluid to enhance existing body armours. Developed by US military academy cadet Hayley Weir with professor Ryan Burke, the material can stop a bullet fired from a 9mm handgun as well as a .44 Magnum.

Last year Danish company Lumigon announced its T3 handset that has a night-vision camera. It is the world’s first smartphone to have a 2K HD night vision camera that can capture photos and videos even in total darkness. It is made of stainless steel and corning Gorilla Glass. It runs on Android operating system.

It takes 2D images from compatible software and recreates it by applying pen to paper. It can be your signature machine, but unlikely to help you complete your writing projects.
