Whether it’s his iconic Palak act or his multiple avatars on The Kapil Sharma Show, he remains one of India’s most loved comedians. Recently, he made headlines after rumours suggested he was leaving The Great Indian Kapil Show following a spat with Krushna Abhishek. Kiku Sharda comes from a Marwadi business family with strong roots in finance. His father is deeply involved in corporate finance, focusing on funding and working capital requirements for companies. During a TEDx Talk, Kiku revealed how his father would push him to join him at the office as a teenager, expecting him to learn the ropes of finance and business. But Kiku confessed he never really understood balance sheets or the world of numbers. Instead, his heart was elsewhere. He later studied at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, though the world of finance still didn’t appeal to him.

As one of the most popular comedians on Indian television, Kiku has built an impressive fortune over the years. According to Siasat, his net worth is estimated to be between ₹33 crore and ₹40 crore. Kiku’s journey in the entertainment industry is packed with memorable roles. He is best remembered as Constable Mulayam Singh Gulgule in Sony SAB’s comedy series F.I.R. and for his many characters in Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. His portrayal of Palak in the former won him immense love from audiences. Apart from that, he played the character named Hobo in Hatim and Akbar in the comedy series Akbar Birbal.
