Parag Agrawal has a Twitter-pro family: 3-yr-old son's reading habits, adventure-loving wife's tales on his feed

Family is the top priority for the newly-appointed CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal - who joined the elite club of Indian-origin honchos on Monday.

From reading with his three-year-old son to travelling with his family, the new Twitter CEO is a family-oriented man - going by his Twitter feed.

Agrawal welcomed his first child, Ansh, with wife Vineeta on November 22, Thanksgiving Day of 2018. The Indian-origin name means 'a part of' or 'portion'. Agrawal said the reason behind naming his son Ansh was because he sees him as "a part of something bigger, a part of our family, a part of our community," he wrote.



The new CEO thanked his Twitter family for the support as well. More so, the company gifted the newborn with a Twitter onesie. The Twitter-pro family even created a protect handle for their son - @littleansh.


Inculcating good reading habits is a strong part of parenting for the Agrawals. Ansh was seen skimming through author Cara Florance's 'Baby Biochemist' series - 'RNA', 'DNA' and 'Protein'.

"In honor of the first wave of RNA vaccine dosing, we brushed up on the central dogma. RNA is awesome," Mrs Agrawal wrote.


In fact, a week after Diwali, Agrawal read 'Binny's Diwali', a beautiful story about the Indian festival of lights, by author Thrity Umrigar with his son.

Last year, before the pandemic forced us indoors, Agrawal was extensively travelling for work. "Traveling for work is always a reminder for me - it can be hard," the new father wrote.

Talking about the difficulties of travelling for work, he took the time out to acknowledge his families and support structures for holding the fort.

On the other hand, the Agrawal love story is beyond adorable. From being travel partners to parents, the journey has been thrilling for the duo.

Going gaga over her son, Mrs Agrawal once publicly thanked her CEO-husband on Twitter for the 'cute genes'.


We can totally see the resemblance between Agrawal and his son.


Agrawal has been with Twitter for more than a decade and has served as their Chief Technology Officer since 2017. Dorsey returned to lead the company as CEO in 2015, and was later forced out of the post in 2008.

Agrawal had joined the company in 2011 as an ads engineer, eventually taking the title of CTO in 2018.

According to his LinkedIn profile, the 37-year old Agrawal has a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Before joining Twitter, he worked at Microsoft Corp, Yahoo and AT&T Labs Inc in their research units, his LinkedIn profile shows.
