Frights in first class: When Keshav Suri was bitten by bed bugs

As a frequent flier, Suri recalls some horror stories he’s had in first class.

Hotelier Keshav Suri is a man of eclectic tastes. In fact, it’s a word he uses to describe himself. The Lalit scion tells ETPanache, “I would describe myself as passionate, eclectic and a little crazy.” So it comes as no surprise that the country he puts at the top of his bucket list of places to visit is… North Korea.

Suri says, “I really want to go to North Korea. I am absolutely fascinated by the place. I have watched a lot of documentaries on North Korea and would be excited to visit.”

As a frequent flier, Suri recalls some horror stories he’s had in first class. “I’ve been bitten by bed bugs,” he says solemnly. “I came off the flight and had a rash across my arms. But I really liked the airline I was flying and I didn’t want to make a fuss. Another time, it was around Diwali, and there were the lights in the corner of first class that was just infested with these dead insects. It was a nine-hour flight and I was desperate to change my seat.”

Let’s hope his bucket list also includes a pest-free journey.
