Friday OTT releases of the week: Musafir Cafe to Con City to Master of the Universe, new movies and shows on Netflix, JioHotstar, Prime Video and ZEE5

Friday is here, and so is a fresh lineup of movies and web series for your weekend watchlist. Whether you are in the mood for a romantic drama, a fantasy adventure, a quirky comedy or an action-packed entertainer, streaming platforms have something for everyone this week. From Vikrant Massey's romantic series Musafir Cafe to Arjun Das' comedy Con City, several new titles have dropped across Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV and other OTT platforms.

Musafir Cafe – Netflix

The romantic drama series Musafir Cafe started streaming on Netflix on July 24. The eight-episode series stars Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana in the lead roles.


Directed by Ruchir Arun and written by Sharanya Rajgopal, the story follows Chander, Sudha and Preeti, whose lives become connected through love, relationships and unexpected choices. The series explores different shades of romance and emotional bonds.

Con City - Netflix
Tamil comedy-drama Con City premiered on Netflix on July 24. It is available in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film stars Arjun Das, Anna Ben and Vadivukkarasi and is directed by Harish Durairaj.

The story revolves around a middle-class family whose ordinary life changes after a lightning strike causes their receipt printer to start printing Rs 500 notes. Their secret soon spirals into chaos, leading to a series of humorous and unexpected events.



Nagabandham - Amazon Prime Video
The Telugu mythological fantasy film Nagabandham arrived on Amazon Prime Video on July 24, just 21 days after its theatrical release. The film stars Virat Karrna, Nabha Natesh, Iswarya Menon, Mahesh Manjrekar, Murli Sharma and Jagapathi Babu.

Directed by Abhishek Nama, the film is set against the backdrop of mythology and fantasy, following a battle to protect an ancient sacred treasure from powerful evil forces. Despite a modest theatrical run, the film is now hoping to find a wider audience through OTT.

Ego Raman - Amazon Prime Video
Tamil drama Ego Raman is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 24. The film stars Ciby Chandran and Robo Shankar, and is directed by Ganesan Nachimuthu.

The story explores the clash between a civil service aspirant and a proud school principal. Their conflict grows even more intense after a Yamaha motorcycle becomes part of the story, leading to an emotional and dramatic narrative.

Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya - Amazon Prime Video
The Hindi comedy-drama series Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 24. The seven-episode series stars Kay Kay Menon, along with Archana Puran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachee Shah.

Created by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena and directed by Himank Gaur, the series follows a laid-back school principal who dreams of taking his school to the top after a government announces a special reward for the best-performing institutions.

Pallichattambi - Sony LIV
Malayalam action drama Pallichattambi started streaming on Sony LIV on July 24. The film stars Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar and is directed by Dijo Jose Anthony.

Set in 1990s Idukki, the story follows a feared local goon whose violent life takes a dangerous turn after his relationship with a powerful gang leader falls apart, forcing him to fight for survival.

Masters of the Universe - Amazon Prime Video
The live-action fantasy film Masters of the Universe is now available on Amazon Prime Video after making its theatrical debut on June 5. The film stars Nicholas Galitzine in the lead role.

Based on the popular toy franchise, the movie brings iconic characters to life in a live-action adventure filled with action, fantasy and epic battles.
