Friday OTT releases of the week: Hunkaar to Toxic to Unabomber, new movies and shows on Netflix, JioHotstar, Prime Video and ZEE5

Friday is here, and so is a fresh lineup of movies and shows for your weekend watchlist. This week brings everything from supernatural mysteries and gangster dramas to family chaos, coming-of-age stories and gripping crime investigations. There are also several regional films making their digital debut. So, if you don't have any plans for this weekend and decided to stay at home, here are some new titles all set to stream on Netflix, JioHotstar, Prime Video and more.

Agadha - ZEE5

A Telugu supernatural thriller directed by MS Raju. The film follows Mahadevi, played by Kamakshi Bhaskarla, as she tries to find answers after a disturbing death takes her towards a forbidden forest cave. Her search soon brings her face-to-face with a mysterious dark entity. Agadha premieres on ZEE5 on September 25.


Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups - ZEE5

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is a Kannada gangster drama directed by Geetu Mohandas. Set in post-Independence Goa, the film failed to impress the audience at the box office. Yash leads the cast, which includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film, which released in theatres on August 26, is reportedly scheduled to arrive on ZEE5 on September 25. The makers are yet to confirm the date.



Mango Pachcha - JioHotstar

Mango Pachcha is a Kannada action drama directed by Viveka and starring Sanchith Sanjeev as Prashanth. The story revolves around a CD shop owner from Mysuru whose life changes after the death of his father. He begins uncovering family secrets and learns about an unknown half-brother, eventually finding himself connected to a criminal world he never expected to enter. Mango Pachcha releases on JioHotstar on September 25 and will be available in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

Don’t Be Shy - Amazon Prime Video

Alia Bhatt's production is a coming-of-age romantic comedy and it feature all four newcomers. Aarushi Bajaj plays Shy, a college student whose carefully planned life takes an unexpected turn after a breakup. As she deals with heartbreak, new friendships and the confusion of growing up, Shy begins to understand herself and what she really wants from life. Don’t Be Shy premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 25.

Bakaiti Season 2 - ZEE5

The Kataria family is back with another round of family drama in Bakaiti Season 2. The new season brings another problem for the family as they face a crisis surrounding their ancestral home, Kataria Kutir. With Ajay, Alka and Aman returning to the house, both families are forced to live under the same roof. Bakaiti Season 2 streams on ZEE5 from September 25, with Rajesh Tailang returning as Sanjay.

Hunkkaar: The Roar - JioHotstar

Hunkkaar: The Roar takes viewers into a tense investigation involving power, public scrutiny and a serious allegation. The story follows 17-year-old Meenu Rawat, played by Aneet Padda, who accuses a powerful cult leader, played by Raghubir Yadav, of sexual assault. Fatima Sana Shaikh plays ACP Jasleen Singh Soni, who takes charge of the investigation as the case attracts widespread attention. Hunkkaar: The Roar premieres on JioHotstar on September 25.



Unabomber - Netflix

Netflix’s Unabomber explores the story of Ted Kaczynski across two timelines. Jacob Tremblay plays Kaczynski as a young student at Harvard, where he becomes involved in controversial psychological experiments conducted by Henry Murray, played by Russell Crowe. Years later, fictional FBI agent Joanne Miller, played by Shailene Woodley, joins the investigation and the search for Kaczynski. Unabomber arrives on Netflix on September 25.
