My style

I do a lot of research online to find unique products and optimal quality. My style has evolved dramatically over the past years. I dare more today and am also more sophisticated - the learning journey was very important to determine who I am today. I am particularly keen on elegant fabrics but the comfort aspect of what I wear makes the difference.

Must haves

A tuxedo, rain coat, wool-flannel trouser, white sneakers and a hat. I love coats and I have one for every occasion - rain, spring, winter, elegant, casual. In addition, I think every man should own a Swiss timepiece.

Brand speak

While I am from Switzerland, I identify with the Italian lifestyle. I embrace the culture of style and elegance that Italian fashion represents. I like their luxury brands like Zegna and Berluti but I also enjoy discovering smaller designers in the backstreets of Milan. There are enormous amounts of craftsmanship and 'savoir-faire'. I find Japan also very inspiring.

Splurge

I often splurge on coats. I have way too many.

When I see a woman, the first thing I notice are her shoes.

Trend talk

I grew up in the '80s when fluorescent was the standard. I am happy to see it coming back. I always liked colourful outfits or accessories. I dislike the trend of always shortening your trousers. I don't wear a lot of black, I don't like it.

Little touches

Men can add colour to their wardrobe by slowly starting to dare. Perhaps first, with an accessory and then make your way up to something a little more fancy. But remember that one should not exceed more than three colours.

Celeb style

Brad Pitt has a great sense of style. He is always right on, at any occasion. If I had to give someone a makeover though, it would be Leonardo DiCaprio.
