Founder Brian Chesky's new Airbnb office in San Francisco is inspired by Disney

Airbnb founder Brian Chesky has often spoken about how a Walt Disney biography changed his approach to business. In fact, one of the earliest projects of his company was named Snow White. The first feature-length animated film, Snow White was a risk for Walt Disney.

Since he was committed to creating memorable characters, Disney planned out the entire film in storyboards, a move that Chesky emulated for Airbnb too.

No wonder then that he continues to be inspired by Disney even today, which reflects in the company's new office space. Chesky recently shared on social media a picture of his new office in San Francisco, which is modelled after cities inspired by Disney animation, themed on different countries.

 

We expanded to our new San Francisco office last week. We took city planning inspiration from Disney, and built community into the office. Each floor is themed after a different country, and teams sit in neighborhoods. #Airbnb
