Aditya Ghosh brings the unexplored authentic taste of Calcutta to London.
There's something new cooking in Aditya Ghosh's life, it seems! And it's not in any boardroom.

The high-flying (literally!) boss of the skies has now found a new passion in the kitchen. Ghosh, who co-founded Akasa Air earlier this year in July with renowned stock trader Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, on Wednesday unveiled his labour of love - the Chourangi restaurant - in London.

Calling it his life-long dream, the former CEO of low-cost carrier IndiGo has collaborated with his friend Anjan Chatterjee, who also owns popular eateries across India - Mainland China and Oh!Calcutta among others - to create new culinary tales.

"Bringing the unexplored tastes of Calcutta to London," Ghosh wrote.

For the past few days, Ghosh had been teasing the restaurant's new look on the microblogging site.

In a 23-second-long video on Tuesday, Ghosh shared that renowned chef Surjan Singh will also head the restaurant. Popularly known as chef Jolly, the culinary master is also the Corporate Culinary Director & Business Development at Specialty Hospitality UK.

The video showed glimpses of the restaurant under construction.

Last year in early-March, British Deputy High Commissioner (Consul General) in Kolkata, Nick Low, wished Chatterjee success with the authentic Kolkata restaurant in London's West End area. He shared a picture with the famed restaurateur.

"Good to see yet another high class investment in my hometown," his caption read.

An excited Saiyami Kher, who played the female lead in the 2020 Anurag Kashyap-directorial 'Choked', said that Chourangi will be her first stop when she visits London.

So if you feel homesick for Indian food when you are visiting London, you certainly know where to dine!
