A Siuchan native, Chef Li sought to bring some of the flavours of his hometown to Mumbai with an authentic Siuchan menu that include rare ingredients like mountain chili, ya cai and jujube. The master blaster and his wife is said to have sampled the Chef’s special spicy fried rice, his edamame truffle dumplings, a radish cake and a burnt garlic and preserved chilli bean dish.
Chef Li told ET Panache that Tendulkar, who was dressed in a grey checked suit and brown oxfords, loved the authenticity of the cuisine and the fresh flavours that were introduced to the menu.
