For Bajaj Auto top exec Eric Vas, a real leader is one who acts on decisions taken

Leadership comes with taking decisions and that is something Eric Vas, president (motorcycles division) Bajaj Auto, knows only too well. Speaking at an event in Mumbai recently, Vas had some leadership lessons to dole out.

“Anyone can take decisions, but a real leader needs to act on them. It might be that some of those decisions may not turn out right, but a leader can’t just sit and do nothing,” he said.

Elaborating on the virtues, Vas added, “Knowledge of right and wrong, believing in his or her decisions and having the guts to correct old ones is the stuff leadership is made of.”
