For all things arty: Lodha Luxury hosts a soiree to admire works of Picasso, FN Souza

Lodha Luxury hosted an exclusive art soiree that saw the crème de la crème of Mumbai admire the works of maestros like Picasso and FN Souza.

Lodha Luxury, along with DAG, hosted the setting of an elite art colonnade on February 3, at The Pinnacle, 65th floor, The World Villas, World One.

Bringing together the finest of art and art connoisseurs from across the globe, the evening was graced by heritage curator Catherine Grenier, president, Giacometti Institute, Paris, and art historian from Pompidou Museum. On display were ‘La Plage’ (1937) by Picasso which is housed at Lodha Altamount, and ‘Man and Woman Laughing’ (1957) by Francis Newton Souza. The viewing was followed by a discussion about the evolution of modern art over a private dinner.

Present at the World Villa exhibit were some renowned personalities along with Vinti Lodha, advisor, Lodha Luxury, and Catherine Grenier, who interacted with art enthusiasts.

Talking about the significance of art, Vinti said, “It gives us immense pleasure to be able to display the riveting works of Picasso and Souza, and host veterans like Catherine Grenier.

Bangladeshi artist Aminul Islam Ashik's sculpture depicting Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and the Rohingya exodus was one of the major attractions at IAF.
