One item that will likely not cause any debate at next month’s Reliance Industries AGM, will be chairman Mukesh Ambani’s salary. For 10 successive years now, Ambani has kept his salary capped at Rs 15 crore.

“Compensation of Mukesh D Ambani, chairman and managing director, has been set at Rs 15 crore, reflecting his desire to continue to set a personal example for moderation in managerial compensation levels,” RIL said in its latest annual report. This compensation includes salary, perquisites, allowances, commission and retiral benefits. Of course, this is no reflection of his actual net worth. He remains India’s richest man, with a net worth of over $40 billion.

If Mukesh Ambani makes Rs 15 crore annually, then he makes:
Per month - Rs 1.25 crore
Per day (30 days) - Rs 4.16 lakh
Per hour - Rs 17,333
Per minute - Rs 288
