Food writer Rashmi Uday Singh conferred with French honour

Food writer Rashmi Uday Singh was recently conferred the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government. A few days ago, she and her high profile friends gathered at Chemistry 101, a new eatery coming up in Parel, for a dinner to celebrate the honour.

Singh warmly greeted guests and raised a toast to them. The dinner was hosted by a European kitchen equipment brand. Raising her glass to Niva Von Weisl, the company’s managing director for India, Singh let slip that the brand worked on the kitchen of Nita Ambani, among others.

The elegant Von Weisl responded to the revelation by covering her ears.

Nadir and Rati Godrej, Nawaz Modi Singhania, Sanjana Patel, Sabira Merchant and Zeba Kohli were among the guests.
