Food With Benefits: Fund-raising dinner to be served by superchefs in Mumbai today

Expect the world on a plate -- from Gresham Fernandess’ Danishinspired food, Irfan Pabaney’s French cuisine to Kelvin Cheung and Pooja Dhingra’s spin on food from Hong Kong and Japan. A pleasant surprise on the list is Rahul Akerkar, previously of Indigo and Indigo Deli, who has been missing in action from the culinary scene since he left Degustibus in 2015.

The chef will be cooking up Italian fanfare at the exclusive event, open for only 40 people. “They called to ask, and I said yes. I love this new breed of chefs who are supporting each other and sharing their knowledge. It’s the only way forward. For the event, I will be making a duck confit and a parmesan custard,” Akerkar told us.
