Fond farewell: A starry evening at The Oberoi before its two-year renovation break

It was a nostalgic moment for those who gathered for the last party at the iconic The Oberoi, New Delhi, before the hotel closed down for a two-year renovation break. The posh gathering included politicians, bureaucrats, authors and artists. Hosted by EIH Limited’s executive chairman PRS ‘Biki’ Oberoi, the evening was filled with emotion and anecdotes, while guests enjoyed champagne and canapés. Present at the event were Sanjay Kapoor of Genesis Luxury Fashions, Amitabh Kant, Paresh Maity and Jaisal Singh of Sujan Luxury Hotels, among others.
