Shankar Mahadevan needs no introduction. The award-winning playback singer and music composer has crafted multiple versatile melodies across Bollywood, including Maa, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Desi Girl, Kajra Re and Uff Teri Adaa that have left a lasting mark on our hearts. Much like his musical style, Mahadevan's lavish Mumbai home echoes rhythm, harmony, and creativity, with expansive spaces, artistic details, and a seamless connection with nature coming together to create a striking retreat. Did you know it has 6 floors?

Shankar Mahadevan’s Mumbai home

Mahadevan has given a tour of his home, SaSha Villa, twice: once during an episode of Asian Paints’ Where the Heart Is and another time when filmmaker Farah Khan visited his place with her now-famous cook Dilip. Away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, the singer’s abode is nestled in the countryside beside a flowing natural stream. If anything, it makes one feel much closer to nature.

There’s a garage dedicated to Mahadevan’s swanky car collection, including a vintage Chevrolet. Lush greenery dominates the garden, with gazebos and sitting areas along the banks of the natural waterbody, giving Mahadevan and his family - wife Sangeeta and sons Siddharth and Shivam, to soak in the beauty of the surroundings and spend quality time with each other.

Once you step inside SaSha Villa, you cannot help but notice how every open layout and spacious corner connects seamlessly and flows effortlessly like music in a striking architectural composition. Pastel walls contrast the bold, colourful and artsy murals, showcasing Mahadevan’s love for experimentation and playing with strong ideas. Crystal chandeliers add to the charm while large glass windows ensure enough sunlight streams in through them.

The double-height living space and high ceilings give the home a grand feel while the unrestricted layout lets every room flow naturally into the next. Several art pieces and photo frames hang on the walls, elevating the aesthetics. Meanwhile, the dark wooden furniture, charming sculptures and potted plants lend warmth, texture and character to the interiors. Mahadevan’s mansion also features an in-house recording studio, coupled with an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

In short, Shankar Mahadevan’s home is a reflection of his artistic spirit, blending music, architecture and nature in perfect harmony. From its expansive interiors and vibrant artwork to the flowing stream, lush gardens and personal recording space, SaSha Villa feels like an extension of the singer’s creative world — bold, warm and beautifully unconventional.
