Fitbit Charge 4 review: Good for beginners, pro-level fitness enthusiasts

If you look at the fitness tracker market in India, there are a lot of options from reputed brands at around Rs 1,500. While those are great value buys for the price, sometimes one may be looking for something that is much beyond just basic.
Fitbit Charge 4, the latest fitness tracker from the Google-owned wearables brand, is available in India at Rs 14,999. It promises feature-loaded performance.
You will need to download the Fitbit app to pair it with your phone to be able to track all your health metrics. The app gives you quick access to your daily step count, calories burned and also your Active Zone Minutes. These, as per Fitbit, are active minutes based on your device with heart-pumping act ivity throughout the day.
Charge 4 also comes with support to track the sleeping pattern and gives you a Sleep Score. There is a notification support that is quick, an option to see weather updates and alarm support. For women, there is support to track their periods and fertility window as well.
The device is also water-resistant up to 50 meters. However, we recommend that you dry it fast, else you might feel some irritation from the band.

You get a non-coloured screen, with thick bezels. Navigation on the Charge 4 is quick and easy. Swiping down will get you your notifications, swiping up will open your daily stats, left for the apps on the device and pressing the button will take you back to the previous screen.
Even though Fitbit has claimed a 7-day battery life on Charge 4, we were able to get 3 days of full juice from the device, with constant use of GPS.
Overall, we found the Fitbit Charge 4 as a nononsense device that is good for both beginners and pro-level fitness enthusiasts. It feels extremely lightweight and wearing it for long hours isn't an issue.
