First Ash, now Ranbir: Manish Malhotra manages a coup

Designer and stylist Manish Malhotra has had a choc-a-bloc calendar with fashion shows and exhibitions this month. But he still has everyone looking forward to his latest offerings at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week.

At a special preview of his menswear collection - The Gentlemen's Club - at a Mumbai hotel on Monday, he gave his audience a sneak peak into his latest designs. He also revealed that actor Ranbir Kapoor will walk the ramp for his LFW collection on August 26, at an offsite show at Mehboob Studios.

Only a few weeks ago, the designer had grabbed eyeballs by getting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as his showstopper during the Amazon India Couture Week in Delhi.

"This collection is for the debonair man - it's stylish, cool and contemporary," Malhotra says about his line for LFW, adding that the year 2015 holds a special place in his heart.

"It marks 25 years as me being a costume designer and stylist in the movie industry, and a successful decade for my fashion label," he says.
