Film producer Ekta Kapoor tests positive for Covid, says 'got the virus despite taking precautions'
Kapoor further urged those who have come in her contact to get tested for the virus as well.

Film-maker and television producer Ekta Kapoor on Monday announced that she has tested positive for the coronavirus. The producer, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of television industry in India, further updated her fans about her health by saying that she is doing well.
The 46-year-old film-maker took to her official Instagram handle to share her health update with fans. "Despite taking all precautions I have tested Covid positive," Kapoor wrote in her post.
Kapoor further urged those who have come in her contact in the past few days to get tested for the virus as well. "I am fine and request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves," she added.
Earlier in the day, actor-producer John Abraham revealed that he and his wife Priya Runchal have tested positive for Covid-19 and were currently in self-isolation at home.
The actor put out a statement on his Instagram Stories where he said that he had come in contact with a Covid-positive person three days ago, although he didn’t know at the time that the person was positive for the virus.

Mumbai has witnessed a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases since the second-half of last month and many celebrities from the industry have tested positive for the coronavirus including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Rhea Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan.
On Sunday, the city reported over 8,063 new cases, 1,763 more than Saturday's tally, taking the caseload here to 7,99,520, while the city's overall death toll stood at 16,377.
