This Diwali, think out of the box. And give your house a different touch. And while you go about doing the décor and accessories, it's also important to have the right lighting in place. Lanterns, hanging lights, and LED cascade lights, can enhance the aesthetic value of the home, says Dilraj L. Bhatia, the founder of DBEL Studio.
Here are some easy tips to light up your house this festive season:
Lanterns: You can place them in your foyer area with a magnificent statue of Lord Ganesha to welcome guests. An impressive, decorative lantern hanging in the middle of foyer will also do the trick. For those who prefer clean, modern lines and minimalist home décor, metal hurricane lanterns add festive sparkle to a modern-style home when lit up with fairy lights or the warmth of candles.

Hanging Lights: You can brighten up the garden or patio with hanging light fixture clustered at various heights. Also add some floating terrarium tea-light holders to cast a magical spell.
Falling LED Cascade Lights: This sets the mood for conversations and cards. Hanging from the edges of the false ceiling or top edges of windows, this adds a sparkle to the living room. If there is some left, don't let them go waste. Instead, place them in the balcony garden or wound them over balcony railings to create beautiful designs.

Metals: When it comes to celebrations and festivals, nothing works better than resplendent metals. Add brass and copper metal to make the festive space all the more resplendent. Brushed gold is a great metal that pairs well with a variety of palettes and styles. Skip polished gold, and instead go with a brushed or satin finish. Add a golden accent with a glamorous statement gold pendant, chandelier, table or floor lamp to festive room décor.
