What do the stars reveal about Elon Musk?
Elon Musk, 51: The man, the maverick billionaire, the free-speech activist, and now….the Twitter dictator.

The CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, is known for his headline-grabbing comments and visions. But he recently captured the world’s attention when he acquired Twitter and within a week, ushered in sweeping institutional and cultural changes at the microblogging platform.

To cut costs, Musk, the richest man in the world, sacked almost 50 per cent of the Twitter workforce in one go. That included nearly 90 per cent of the staff in its India offices. From monetising the site’s verification policy to promising the ultimate freedom of speech to users, Musk is on the brink of what can be the ultimate makeover or the beginning of the end for the platform.

Of course, we don’t know how this will all pan out. But we can take a look at the stars and make some predictions.

According to astrologers, Musk’s birth chart (born in June 28, 1971) and numerological profile hold clues to many of his quirks. From his inexplicable obsession with freedom of speech to the sheer callousness he displayed while downsizing Twitter, the stars indicate that there is a method to his madness. We might, with some luck, be able to only skim the tip of the iceberg that is Musk’s psyche. But that shouldn’t stop us from trying, right?

Musk’s Planets Show He Is Blessed With An Unparalleled Sense Of Determination And Leadership

His audacious business decisions, including the single-minded focus to transform the microblogging site, shows Musk has always been a man of his word.

According to astrologer Shweta Bhardwaj (co-founder of the astrological consultancy service Predictions For Success) Musk’s steely determination and iron will come from his exalted Mars, which is in the earthy sign of Capricorn. In astrology, Mars is the planet of will, drive and determination. This makes him a formidable opponent, and a natural when it comes to making financial and business decisions.

“Think of Musk as an unstoppable force of nature when it comes to business dealings. Nothing will ever stand in his way. He will make sure of that. No matter who the opponent is, he will ensure that every transaction is a clean sweep for him. Moreover, his Mars also creates a very powerful Dhan yoga (an auspicious interplanetary aspect) which practically ensures his victory in pretty much every business venture. Prosperity is almost his birthright at this point,” says Bhardwaj.

That’s not all. Musk’s moon sign is in the powerful sign of Leo. This equips him with a certain fearlessness when it comes to decision-making. It also gives him a penchant for taking calculated risks. “As per Vedic astrology, Leos are simply born to rule,” shares Bhardwaj, who is based in the National Capital Region.

Musk Is Outspoken

But Bhardwaj is not that perked up about the Tesla CEO’s fascination for freedom of speech. “His strong Mars and its aspect on the house of speech gives him an obsession with freedom of speech,” says Bhardwaj. “This is not a guy who speaks in euphemisms and with embellishments. He has very little patience for sugar-coating. He wants the truth , the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” she adds wryly.

He Has Lady Luck On His Side

Some people really have it all. Musk’s chart indicates that he was born with luck. A truckload of it. His ascendant or rising sign is in the watery sign of Pisces. In Vedic astrology, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck. “His ascendant or lagna gives him an abundance of luck as well as considerable management abilities,” says Bhardwaj. This must explain how Musk seems to have the Midas touch in all of his endeavours.

Perform or Perish — That’s His Motto

According to Bhardwaj, Musk’s leadership style is pretty basic and straightforward. He will reward the top performers — people who deliver high-quality output consistently and align themselves with his vision without complaints — handsomely. He will have no mercy for those he sees as non-performing. “You do not need to be bad to get punished. Everyone apart from the best will be punished under his leadership,” says Bhardwaj.

Rahu’s Influence Makes Him Reckless

Bhardwaj says that Musk is experiencing Rahu Dasha (a phase where one of the celestial bodies exerts an overwhelming influence in your life). In Vedic astrology, Rahu is a shadowy celestial body that represents unbridled materialism, obsession and dissatisfaction. “Currently he is only prioritising making more money. That is at the forefront of all his decisions,” says Bhardwaj.

Musk May Have A Successful Run As The Twitter Sovereign

Musk’s future as the uncrowned monarch of Twitter will continue to be bright and at its peak during the Rahu Dasha, says the astrologer. As his Sun (the planet of ego) is also in a good position, he will reach new heights as the Twitter head. His Sun and Mars positions will ensure that he sees success in everything he has planned for with the platform, including ensuring greater freedom of speech.

How Do Musk’s Numbers Add Up?

According to numerological expert Vishal Bhardwaj, these are the highlights of his numerological profile:

  • Destination number 3 (21/3)

  • Talent number 16/7

  • Personality number 8

  • Heart number 11

  • Birth number 28

  • Ultimate number 1

All these numbers hold the key to the ingenious yet ruthless patriarch of Twitter.

Musk Has A Knack For Innovation

Destiny Number (21/3): Number 3 denotes creativity. It blesses the subject with an unequalled power of imagination. This gives Musk the ability to find innovative solutions. The auspicious combination of 1 and 2 provides him with an innate sense of leadership and formidable diplomatic powers. “This man can convince anyone to do his bidding if he so wishes,” says Bhardwaj.

The Lone Wolf At The Top

“The talent number 16/7 is a karmic one,” says Bhardwaj. It gives Musk the ability to be a one-man army. He can work alone without taking help from anybody. But, in the long run, his personal relationships become tumultuous. “People with this number find it difficult to maintain long-term relationships,” says Bhardwaj. This number also makes Musk somewhat unscrupulous. “A person with 16/7 will give a fig about morality if they are set out to accomplish something.”

Personality Number 8: This is a very materialistically inclined number. Such people only believe in the best of the best. They want to achieve the first position in everything; anything else is just as good as failure to them. They use a “hook or crook” method to complete any task. They don’t mind putting all at risk to achieve the desired goal.

The Ultimate Egoist

“Musk’s life path is 16/7,” says Bhardwaj. This makes the billionaire a straightforward person. It also makes him essentially self-serving. People with the 16/7 life path have only one motto: “me, myself & I”. Unlike others, they are not bound by any notion of right or wrong, only by what’s right for them. They will only acknowledge people who can be beneficial to them in some way. Their ultimate goal is simple — ensure everything around them suits their wishes. Bhardwaj warns that these people can be pretty vindictive. “They take all slights (real or imagined) really personally and will leave no stone unturned to get even.”

Musk Is Essentially Bullheaded

Musk is fundamentally an obstinate person. Once he makes a decision, he will do anything to stick by it no matter what. “There is a lot of influence of the numbers 1 (both ultimate as well as the birth number) and 11 (master number) in his chart. This makes him bullheaded in plain terms. People with an undue influence of number 1 don’t like to deviate from their plans or what they consider as right,” says Bhardwaj. These people will not consider any other person’s suggestions even if those are more prudent than their own.

Those Mass Layoffs Had A Long Time Coming

“Musk’s move to chop off jobs en masse is not at all shocking,” says Bhardwaj, given his numerological influences. “He is not mindless but just merciless when it comes to getting what he wants. He will not stop at anything to achieve his goal. He will probably not be satisfied ever, even if he reaches the pinnacle of success.”
