Stately sedans made their way to the NCPA a few days ago, dropping off some luminaries from the Indian business and theatre fraternities at the entrance of the venue.

The occasion was a play based on the relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and his spiritual mentor, Shrimad Rajchandraji. Sajjan and Sangita Jindal, BK Modi and Vijay Crishna were among the audience.

Also present were Sangita's parents — Urmila and Kailash Kanoria, who supported the production.

After the performance, conversation revolved around the importance of spirituality and the future of India. Perhaps, the play threw up some answers.
