Fact is often more surreal than fiction, says Pepperfry boss Ambareesh Murty
Life in the startup world can be so eventful at times, that it can actually seem like fiction. That’s why Ambareesh Murty, CEO of Pepperfry loves the book 'Going Postal' by Terry Pratchett.

“The book is about the tribulations and adventures of the main character while setting up a Postal Service in the City of Ankh Morpork, so it resonates with the ‘startup founder’ in me. I guess I learnt that fact is often more surreal than fiction. It’s just how you look at it,” he says.

Murty is a big Pratchett fan and even collects memorabilia surrounding his works. “My favourite is a print of the night watch done like the Usual Suspects and the other is the collection of pins. Some of my collection goes on the wall and the rest is kept safe in a box,” he said.

“I like the irreverence with which Pratchett wrote his books and the humour he finds in everyday life,” Murty added.
