Bubble hum

The King of Pop had many pets, but the one that got the most attention was Bubbles, his chimpanzee. Bubbles slept in a crib in Michael Jackson’s room, ate at his dining table, gave interviews (with facial expressions and hand gestures), and also, allegedly, learnt how to moonwalk. But the chimpanzee’s growing ferocity resulted it in being moved to a sanctuary. MJ’s pet is now at the Center for Great Apes in Florida.



Tiger punch

It wasn’t just for The Hangover. Mike Tyson purchased three white Royal Bengal tigers and owned them for over a year. He apparently spent close to Rs 9.2 lakh per day on their diet alone. After the pugilist sold his tigers, he went on to train pigeons for racing competitions and even organised pageants for beautiful birds.



Donkey kong

The Legally Blonde actress and her family have three goats, 20 chickens, three dogs, one horse and two donkeys.



Called Honky and Tonky, Reese Witherspoon revealed that she has her children help take care of the donkeys. “It’s good for kids to learn about compassion. I make them clean the stalls,” she said on a chat show.



Hubba bubba

Miley Cyrus’s current pet-flame is her pig, Bubba Sue.



This means that Bubba Sue gets royal treatment — flying around in private jets, French-kissing Cyrus and even getting the occasional pedicure with fiery red nail paint. This babe ain’t a regular hog.



Glass menagerie

Anant Ambani, the youngest child of India’s richest man, is a complete “animal lover and runs a shelter for injured animals and animals in distress”, in the words of his mother Nita.



Anant also made news for his concern about the temple elephants’ upkeep at Tirupati. While he has Yorkshire terriers at his home Antilia, Anant reportedly maintains a menagerie in Navi Mumbai.
