EXO’s Chen to celebrate 3 years of marriage with a grand wedding ceremony

Kim Jong-Dae aka Chen, the lead vocalist of the popular K-pop band EXO, will reportedly be hosting a private wedding ceremony to commemorate his three-year-old marriage.

According to Korean news portal Spotv News, the ceremony will be held in October. Chen’s agency also confirmed the news to Korean entertainment website Soompi. “Chen is going to hold a wedding ceremony, which has been delayed due to circumstances, in October.”

The singer created quite a stir when he announced that he had married his long-time girlfriend in secret in 2020. He also announced that his wife was pregnant. Their daughter was born on April 29 that year. The couple hosted a private ceremony that was attended only by their families. However, if reports are to be believed, this ceremony will be lavish and the guest list will include the Who’s Who of the Korean Entertainment. On January 19, the duo welcomed their second child.


On the work front, EXO made a comeback on July 2023. Titled ‘Exist’, the album sold more than 1.8 million copies in South Korea.

EXO debuted in 2012. They are a nine-member Chinese-Korean band consisting of Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Chen, D.O, Kai, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Sehun. In 2013, they became the first Korean group to sell over one million albums in Korean history.
