Already downloaded millions of times (collectively on both platforms), Smash Hit is a game in which you are automatically travelling through a 3D world and you have to smash various glass obstacles that appear or move into your path. You have to tap the screen to throw metal balls at just the right place and time to smash obstacles and that too by using as few balls as possible. It features realistic glass-breaking physics and music/effects that are synchronised with the gameplay for a more immersive experience. It’s quite engaging and addictive. The free version is fully playable with a few limitations (there are no ads). You can buy the full version via in-app purchase to enable synchronisation across multiple devices.

The smartphone has almost completely replaced the portable music player. However, controlling music playback requires you to unlock the phone each time. But with this app you can control music with hand gestures even when the display is off. When you first install it, you have to go through a tutorial to understand the basic controls. Post that, everytime you start the app, you need to select the music player to use with the app. The app is then launched automatically with Brainwave running in the background. The basic gestures are simple — swipe left to restart a song, right to skip to the next track and place your hand on the screen to play/ pause the music. Keep in mind that it uses the phone’s front camera for gesture detection, which means it will drain the battery a little more than usual.
