Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, Deluxe and Zenfone Selfie: Asus has launched three new dual SIM phones in the Zenfone series, All three come with Zen UI based on Android Lollipop and all three have 5.5-inch IPS displays; the Zenfone 2 Deluxe and Zenfone Selfie get full HD screens while the cheaper Zenfone 2 Laser gets an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. You can also get a 6-inch variant of the Laser with the same screen resolution. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe features a premium design and is powered by a 2.3Ghz quad core Intel Atom processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front camera. The Zenfone 2 Laser comes with a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP camera with laser autofocus and a 5MP front camera. The Zenfone Selfie comes with an octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2/3GB RAM along with 16/32GB storage, 13MP rear (with laser autofocus) and a 13MP front selfie camera (with dual front LED flash). Other common features include a 3,000mAh battery and 4G support.


IBall Andi HD6: Aimed at users who prefer a large display on a budget, this phablet features a 6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It runs Android 4.4 on a 1.3Ghz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery. The dual SIM device has dual cameras (8MP rear, 5MP front), a micro-SD slot for expansion (up to 32GB supported), 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Panasonic Eluga Icon: This new dual SIM phablet has a 5.5-inch HD display and a unibody design. Hardware includes a 1.5Ghz octa core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a massive 3,500mAh battery. You also get a 13MP rear camera with f2.2 aperture, 8MP front camera, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity and Android 4.4. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India from August 13 2015.

Intex Cloud M6 16GB: Intex has updated its Cloud M6 Android smartphone (which initially was launched a few months ago). The updated device has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Other specifications remain unchanged: a 1.2Ghz quad core processor, 2,000mAh battery, microSD slot for expansion and 5-inch IPS display (854 x480 pixels). It weighs 122 grams, has dual SIM support, runs Android 4.4, has dual cameras (8MP rear, 5MP front), 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and a claimed talk time of 6 hours.

Philips Xenium I908: This is the flagship offering from Philips for the Indian market. Xenium I908 is a dual SIM smartphone with a 5-inch IPS full HD display. Inside is a 1.7Ghz octa core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 3,000mAh battery. Around the back is a 13MP camera with f2.2 aperture while up front is a wide angle (88 degree) 5MP camera. It weighs 155 grams, has a microSD slot for expansion (up to 32GB cards are csupported), 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and comes with Android 4.4 out of the box.

Sony RX100 IV & RX10 II: Sony has launched the successor to its powerful compact RX100 and RX10 cameras in India. Both cameras feature a 1-inch CMOS 20MP sensor, Bionz X processor and both can record video in 4k resolution. They also have a 3-inch tilt LCD display, electronic viewfinder, built-in flash, micro HDMI port, WiFi and NFC connectivity. The RX100 IV has a 3X optical zoom, optical image stabilisation, f1.8 aperture, 16fps shooting speed and a battery life of 280 shots. On the other hand, the RX10 II offers 8X optical zoom with optical image stabilisation, f2.8 aperture, 14fps shooting speed, microphone & headphone port, support for an external flash and a battery life of 400 shots.
