ET GBS: India's DNA is that of entrepreneurship, says Vedanta top boss Anil Agarwal

The chairman of Vedanta Resources is confident that India will become a hub for start-ups.

The Indian entrepreneur is a different breed. Speaking at the ETGBS, Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Resources, said that it’s why he strongly believes that India is the global face of entrepreneurs today.

“Indian entrepreneurs have tremendous capability. Whatever projects they take on, they deliver,” he emphasised. “Be it building an airport or changing the telecom sector, whatever task the government entrusts them with, they do a world class job of it.”

Agarwal used the example of California, with the maximum number of startups by Indians.

“We have to understand the DNA of India and it’s the DNA of entrepreneurs,” he said.

The billionaire went on to assert that he had faith in India becoming a hub for start-ups. “It will happen,” he said confidently.
