ET GBS 2017: Sadhguru says, 'being bossy' with budding entrepreneurs doesn't work

Addressing a room full of corporate honchos at The Economic Times Global Business Summit 2017 in New Delhi on Monday, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev said that the next generation could do without any advice from grown-ups who run the world.

The latter’s coaching inevitably covered the gamut, right from how gen next should navigate through life to how to conduct themselves correctly.

Sadhguru said, “I’ve travelled across India with my daughter in the passenger seat since she was 3.5 months old. We would be in a new home almost every day.”

One of the big problems he faced during his adventures, he said, was that of people constantly trying to tell their child what to do.

“Between the child and the adult, who is more joyful? Obviously, the child. So obviously you don’t know anything that the child doesn’t know.

Adults only know survival tricks,” he said. One piece of advice that Sadhguru did give his daughter was: “Don’t look up to anybody —not even me. And don’t look down on anybody.

That’s the only lesson I gave her. Just seeing things the way they are, is necessary to navigate through life.” .
