Guess what this head of an online food ordering startup has a taste for? Diamonds, reveals Rashmi Daga.
The founder of FreshMenu was a winner at The Economic Times 40 Under Forty awards in Mumbai.
When Daga, dressed in a vibrant sari, was asked what she would like to have a 40-piece collection of, her answer was “diamonds”.
Daga says she would get 40 items and place them in everything from earrings to necklaces as she can’t get enough of the sparkly stone.

If you have deep pockets, giving in to temptation is legit. From a sci-fi chair to a diamond smartwatch, surprise yourself in wonderful ways:
Nothing can beat the luxury of Bugatti Niniette 66, a meticulously tailored sport yacht inspired by the supercar Bugatti Chiron. The automaker teamed up with yacht designer Palmer Johnson to create the 66-footlong yacht that can reach a top speed of 44 knots. It has an open deck made of oak wood, and the lower deck comes with a champagne bar, sun pad, jacuzzi, a kingsized bed and even a fire pit.

Camping in the summer can be a rejuvenating experience. Try nestling in the middle of nature in an Opera Camper, your luxurious private suite on wheels. The Opera is an opulent take on a traditional trailer and comes with many modern features like electrically adjustable beds, a boiler supplying warm water to the kitchen and shower, refrigerator, low-energy LED lighting and more.

The Phantom v2640 from Vision Research is no ordinary camera. It can shoot at an incredible 11,750 frames per second at full HD resolution. The camera can shoot up to a 2048x1952 resolution at 6,600 fps. One can also record at higher frame rates by bumping the resolution down. For instance, the camera can achieve 303,460 fps when recording at a 1792x8 pixel resolution. The price of the Phantom v2640 is still unknown.

Touch and voice controls are passé. The latest temptation is communicating with your gadgets through your thoughts. And that’s possible with a process called internal vocalisation or subvocalisation. Researchers at the MIT Media Lab have created a prototype (AlterEgo) that you wear on your face. It is capable of detecting tiny shifts that occur when you subvocalise, while saying words to yourself in your head. The wearable can detect and translate it into a meaningful command for a computer.

Don’t you think you deserve to be cradled in something so luxurious that you never want to get up again? The Elysium chair is just what you need — as the chair reclines, you experience the sweet spot that feels similar to being weightless, or floating in zero-gravity. The ‘made-to-order’ chair is designed by David Hugh, who spent 10 years developing a secret equation that defines how posture is affected by gravitational forces.

It’s the only time you’ll want to put your Aston Martin under water. We are talking of the British automaker’s first submersible Project Neptune — the smallest three-person (personal) submarine with silver, blade-like pontoons and an acrylic bubble of a cabin for maximising underwater views. It’s capable of diving to 1,650 feet, and has a speed of three knots.
