Esha Deol and husband Bharat Takhtani confirm separation after 11 years of marriage

Esha Deol, daughter of Bollywood icons Dharmendra and Hema Malini, and her husband Bharat Takhtani have officially confirmed their decision to part ways after 11 years of marriage. "We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected," the statement issued to the Delhi Times reads.

History of Relationship

The couple tied the knot in a private traditional ceremony on June 29, 2012, at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai. Together, they share two daughters, Radhya, 6, and Miraya, 4.


Rumours regarding their separation had been circulating for some time, particularly after Bharat's absence from family gatherings and Esha's social media posts. Speculation intensified when Bharat was noticeably absent from Hema Malini's 75th birthday celebration and Esha's own birthday festivities.

The confirmation of their separation follows a recent Reddit post that claimed Bharat was seen with another woman at a New Year's Day party in Bangalore. However, neither Esha nor Bharat has addressed these claims directly.
