Entrepreneur Shikha Mittal met Bollywood star Anil Kapoor on the flight. What happened next would make you smile!

Entrepreneur Shikha Mittal, who recently interacted with Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, recounted how her encounter with the ‘Parinda’ star was nothing less than pleasant and amicable.

Mittal took to LinkedIn to share her experience. The entrepreneur recounted how she came across the ‘No Entry’ actor. Mittal, who is the founder & CEO of ed-tech startup ‘Be Your Own Shakti’ and the NGO Be-artsy, was on a flight, when she started feeling uneasy.

As the flight got turbulent after taking off, the feeling of uneasiness grew. It was then that Kapoor, who was sitting next to her, came to her aid. The ‘1942 Love Story’ star held her hand and spoke to her in a reassuring voice. “He held my hand and said, “Hey it’s ok. Tell me your name. Let’s talk.” And that’s how they struck up a conversation.

Mittal revealed she was aware that she was sitting next to a renowned Bollywood star, but she didn’t instigate an interaction as she didn’t want to bother him. “If that moment he didn’t speak, I would have never spoken in the interest of keeping his privacy. But those 2 hours I laughed endlessly and it felt like the flight landed a few seconds post taking off (Pata bhi nahi chala/I didn’t realise how time flew by) .”

She revealed that they talked about everything under the sun, from his box office disasters like the 1991 movie ‘Lamhe’, to working with his leading ladies, Madhuri and Sridevi, to fitness, financial planning, money management, etc.

When the plane landed, Mittal’s discomfort subsided, and she made a new friend. She revealed that the ‘Nayak’ actor advised her not to stress over her anxiety. “A lot of people will tell you anxiety is bad, but today, due to your anxiety, we both got a chance to talk, and laugh, and now maybe you also treat me to a coffee in Delhi." She signed off by describing him as “a genuine co-passenger”.

Meeting and striking up a friendship with a popular celeb doesn’t happen every day. Sometimes life can be stranger than fiction!
