Employee had resigned, not got laid off. But what happened next taught him a life lesson. No thank you, no good bye, just a call and disabled login
An employee was asked to leave before his notice period ended, despite being told to always leave professionally. The HR manager cited common practice, leaving the employee demoralized. He pointed out the hypocrisy of companies expecting employees...

While asking the employee to leave, the HR informed him that it was common practice to let employees go before their notice period was complete. The employee was demoralised as he was counting on that final week of pay, but his final words left the HR dumbfounded.
Before he left, the employee called out obsolete corporate practices where the employee is expected to adhere to professionalism, serve their notice period faithfully, not to ruin their relationships with former bosses and colleagues and never to burn bridges, but when it comes to companies, they hardly care for such standards and refute them at their will. Organisations that has all of these rules of corporate conduct for workers, seldom seem to care about them or uphold them. So employees can be sacked at a moment’s notice, unceremoniously, without care and such unprofessional behaviour is often excused away as company policy.
“Employee: My entire career I was told: “Give proper notice.” “Leave professionally.” “Don’t burn bridges.”
HR: Professionalism is always important.
Employee: Apparently only for employees.
HR: …
Employee: Because when the company wants to end things early, suddenly professionalism becomes “common practice.”
HR: Your manager was informed.
Employee: That explains why he avoided me all day.
HR: I’m sorry you feel that way.
Employee: No goodbye. No thank you. Just a phone call and a disabled login…” wrote Ingari.
Responding to the post, one X user wrote how employees should never trust organizations to look out for themselves. “Anybody who thinks your employer gives a fuck really needs a wake up call. I don't care who they are or pretend to be, but one thing is for sure. They don't care about us, just the money. FACT.”
