Elon Musk takes jibe at new Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal with Soviet dictator Stalin meme

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now sharing memes on Twitter's new CEO, Parag Agrawal, days after admiring the Indian talent.

The 50-year-old billionaire took to the micro-logging site to share two meme pictures - one showing Agrawal as former USSR leader Joseph Stalin with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, and in the second image Dorsey missing from the same frame. The tweet did not have any caption.

In the first image, Dorsey was depicted as Nikolay Yezhov, Stalin's close friend who was later assassinated under the Soviet dictator's orders.


The original photo that was used to create the meme was clicked in 1930 near the Moscow Canal.

A user even shared a reference image to help people understand Musk's 'dark humour'.

On Tuesday after Dorsey handed over the company's reins to Agrawal, Stripe CEO Patrick Collison tweeted that America offers great opportunity to immigrants.

Replying to Collison's tweet, Musk said it was the other w3ay around. "The USA benefits greatly from Indian talent," he wrote.


The IIT-Bombay and Stanford University alumnus has been with Twitter for more than a decade, and has served as its Chief Technology Officer since 2017.

The 37-year old Agrawal has previously worked in Microsoft, Yahoo, and AT&T labs before joining Twitter in 2011.

He is the latest Indian origin person to head a leading US-based tech company after Google's CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella, Adobe's CEO Shantanu Narayen.

Dorsey will continue being a member of the Board until his term expires at the 2022 meeting of stockholders.
