Streaming details of Sai Pallavi, Junaid Khan's Ek Din
Ek Din has now started streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India. Unlike its overseas release, where the film was available on a rental basis, Indian subscribers can watch it as part of their Prime membership. The romantic drama is available in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, making it accessible to a wider audience across the country. The OTT release comes just weeks after the film completed its theatrical run, giving audiences another chance to experience the heartfelt romance from the comfort of their homes.
More about the movie Ek Din
Directed by Sunil Pandey, Ek Din is the official Hindi remake of the 2016 Thai romantic drama One Day. The story revolves around Dinesh (Junaid Khan), a quiet young man who has been secretly in love with his colleague Meera (Sai Pallavi) for a long time but never gathers the courage to confess his feelings.During an office trip to Japan, Dinesh makes a heartfelt wish at a temple, hoping he could spend just one day with Meera. In an unexpected twist of fate, his wish appears to come true, giving him an opportunity he never imagined.
As the two spend time together, the film explores themes of love, destiny, hope and the fleeting nature of precious moments. Rather than relying on grand romantic gestures, Ek Din focuses on emotional conversations, quiet moments and the idea that one day can change a person's life forever.
The film also marks an important milestone for Sai Pallavi, who has built a successful career in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema before making her Hindi film debut with this project.
Box office performance and cast
Despite being backed by popular names, Ek Din could not translate its strong credentials into box office success. Reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 25 crore, the film earned approximately Rs 5.50 crore worldwide, including nearly Rs 4.30 crore net in India during its theatrical run. With its arrival on Prime Video, the makers will now hope the film receives the appreciation it missed in cinemas, as many romantic dramas often find a second life on streaming platforms.
Apart from Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, the film also stars Kunal Kapoor in a key role. It is produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.
The screenplay is written by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra, while Ram Sampath has composed the music with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The cinematography is handled by Manoj Lobo, editing by Ballu Saluja, and production design by Vikram Singh and Parul Rai.
Ek Din is also Junaid Khan's third feature film after Maharaj (2024) and Loveyapa (2025). For Sai Pallavi, the film serves as her long-awaited Bollywood debut.
