EarlySalary CEO's fondest memory: A Bengaluru-Trivandrum road-trip with his father in a Maruti 800

Every car and bike that Akshay Mehrotra owns was always on his bucket list.

Akshay Mehrotra, CEO and Co-Founder, EarlySalary, has always loved cars.

"I wanted to get behind the wheel of a car when I was just four years old. I learnt to drive as soon as I was legally allowed to. My first family car was Maruti 800. Around 12 years back, I bought my first bike - Kawasaki Ninja which was one of the first sports bike in the country to impress my wife (then girlfriend) who loved bikes and it cost me 2.5 lakhs rupees," he shares.

Mehrotra still has the Kawasaki Ninja, as it was his first bike and he is attached to it due to sentimental reason and it runs pretty well.

"Currently, I own Selenite Grey colour Mercedes Benz C220d Progressive 5, which I got a few weeks back. I have driven a lot within India and internationally. My best memory and best road-trip is with my father when we drove from Bengaluru to Trivandrum in a Maruti 800 and that trip made our bond even stronger," he says.

Mehrotra's dream car is to own a Ferrari. "Currently I like two models SF90 Spider (Ferrari) and the Roma because it has an aluminium retractable hard-top, which opens and closes in just 14 seconds," he says.

Film thing
Mehrotra enjoys movies where the car plays as much a leading role as the actor. "I love the drifting in Fast & the Furious series (Tokyo Drift), because it has thrilling action scenes," he says.

Every car and bike that Mehrotra owns or ever owned which was always on his bucket list. "I always took out time and cleaned them myself which helped me to know my them better. I own a Mercedes and the brand itself says that it a blend of luxury, sportiness and a performance. So that would be the name for my car," he says.

To a big award evening, Mehrotra would like to arrive in a self-driven Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The car deserves a red carpet," he feels.
