Dyson V12 Detect Slim review: It's an expensive (c)lean, mean machine

Dyson’s latest V12 Detect Slim vacuum cleaner promises to find and clean every speck of dirt, especially under Indian conditions where the dust and pollution levels are high.

It is a handy device that weighs just over 2.2 kg, and one can take it to every nook and cranny where dust accumulates. It has a small LCD screen that displays the number of dust particles that have been captured.

The bin size is about 0.35L, which means it must be emptied frequently while on heavy-duty cleaning tasks. The model has a laser fluffy head tool with a green-tinged laser beam to pinpoint the tiniest of dust particles. The motor is powerful, yet surprisingly not too noisy.


For Rs 58,990, the model is an expensive proposition and will be considered a ‘luxury’ item for many.
