'Drishyam' Review: Entertaining with a good script & enhanced performance
While some dialogue and sequences could be better, Drishyam is an entertaining film with a good script that is enhanced by its cast's performances.

Drishyam is a Hindi remake of the 2013 Malayalam film of the same name. The story has found resonance with audiences across the country and it has subsequently been remade in other south Indian languages over the past two years — Drishya (Kannada), Drushyam (Telugu) and Papanasam (Tamil).

Drishyam is the story of Vijay Salgaonkar's (Devgn) family and their lives after a harrowing incident. Vijay is a "4th standard fail orphan" who loves cinema and runs a cable network service in a village in Goa. He is married to Nandini (Saran) and has two daughters. This idyllic life is shattered when a young boy blackmails Vijay's elder daughter using some secret tapes he shot of her. Nandini tries to convince the boy, who is the IG Meera Deshmukh's (Tabu) son, to delete the tape which leads to a freak mishap.
