'Drishyam' director Nishikant Kamat hospitalised, critical

The 50-year-old is battling liver cirrhosis.

Director Nishikant Kamat, known for films like 'Drishyam' and 'Madaari', has been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad. According to a report in TOI, the 50-year-old was battling liver cirrhosis and it relapsed.

The film-maker's condition is reportedly critical.

Kamat made his directorial debut in 2005 with the Marathi film 'Dombivali Fast', which bagged the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2006.
