Drishyam 3: The Conclusion

Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar is back in theatres with Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, but audiences already looking ahead to its digital release will have to wait. The third and final chapter of the Hindi crime thriller franchise has arrived exclusively on the big screen, while its OTT release date has not yet been officially announced.

The biggest change for viewers is where the film will eventually stream.

Drishyam 3 OTT platform: Where will the film stream?

Unlike the first two instalments, which were associated with Prime Video, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has reportedly secured Netflix as its digital streaming platform, as per Filmi Beat.

Netflix and the makers have not yet announced the exact date on which the third film will arrive on the platform. Therefore, any specific date currently circulating should be treated as an expectation rather than an official announcement.

The film is currently in its theatrical window after releasing on October 2. Industry practice for theatrical-to-OTT releases often involves a gap of around six to eight weeks, although the actual period can vary depending on the film's theatrical performance and distribution agreement.

Based on that broad window, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion could potentially reach Netflix around mid-to-late November 2026.

However, this is not a confirmed streaming date. The final OTT premiere will be announced by the makers or Netflix.

What happens in Drishyam 3?

The film continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family, picking up the unresolved consequences of the events shown in the first two films.

The franchise began in 2015 with Drishyam and returned with Drishyam 2 in 2022. Vijay's efforts to protect his family after an accidental death, along with the carefully constructed timeline he used as an alibi, became central to the story.

The makers have kept the major developments of the concluding chapter closely guarded.

Abhishek Pathak returns as director and has worked on the screenplay with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. Ajay Devgn reprises Vijay, with Shriya Saran, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav also returning. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj are among the actors associated with the latest instalment.

The October 2 release date also has a connection to the franchise, as the date was an important part of Vijay's alibi in the original film.

Drishyam 3 reviews

Audience reactions on X have focused heavily on the film's suspense, climax and performances.

One viewer praised the climax, writing, "The CLIMAX TWIST of Drishyam 3 is BETTER than Drishyam 1 and 2." Another described the interval as "MIND BLOWING", praising the tension and Ajay Devgn's performance as Vijay.

The reactions have not been entirely unanimous. One viewer gave the film three-and-a-half stars and described it as a "Predictable family thriller", while also saying the Hindi version was better than the Malayalam version.

At the other end of the spectrum, another viewer rated the film four-and-a-half stars and called it "OUTSTANDING", describing it as the best film in the Drishyam franchise and praising Pathak's writing and direction.

Another audience reaction rated the film four out of five and called it brilliant, with the viewer saying it was stronger than the first two instalments in terms of entertainment.
