In a clip from the 2021 episode that has gone viral on Instagram, the Drishyam star revealed how he had lost his father, veteran stuntman Virender Devgn, in 2019, and admitted that losing your parents would always be a touch, emotionally devastating experience for children. He also reflected on how the people in their youth ignore parents and their love for their child. “In the first 20 years of your life, you don’t care for them. You think your parents know nothing… they are stupid; you know everything," he said.
Devgn then solemnly reflected on how having your own kid makes one realise how integral parents are for their children. “When you know they were your well-wishers, it is usually too late,” he said mournfully.
Reflecting on his father Veeru’s last days, the Shaitaan star said he had Alzehimer’s and sported many injuries he sustained from his days as a stuntsman. He recalled how he once had to go through glass and suffered no less than 45 stitches to his head, because filmmakers used real glass for filming action scenes.
Ajay was last seen in Drishyam 3, which also features Tabu. The movie has earned almost Rs 300 crores at the box office.

Virender “Veeru” Harjidas Devgan (June 25, 1934 – May 27, 2019) was an Indian action choreographer, filmmaker and producer who made significant contributions to Hindi cinema. During his extensive career, he worked on more than 200 movies. His notable credits included Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974), Mr Natwarlal (1979), Kranti (1981), Prem Rog (1982), Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), Aaj Ka Arjun (1990), Phool Aur Kaante (1991) and Jigar (1992).Veeru passed away in 2019, at the age of 84.
