Drawing parallels between global affairs & changes in fashion

When you have fashion writer Suzy Menkes addressing a room full of designers and fashion students, you'd expect the conversation to revolve a lot around trends and styles.But the British writer surprised everyone during a lecture at a Mumbai college, by drawing parallels between global affairs and changes in fashion.

“Fashion has an enormous role to play in current happenings. But you don't always see it till after it happens.
